What Is Medicine Naturopathic?
Naturopathic medicine is a system of medicine that has been practiced in North America for over 125 years. Through a comprehensive intake, your ND will create a naturopathic assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Read more in Services.
Why is it important?
You have every right to know what your options are. As a Naturopathic Doctor I will never ask you to choose between conventional and alternative medicine. We advocate for patient focused integrative medicine where you receive a whole body approach.
How long is each appointment?
Your first initial appointment will be up to 75 mins to ensure that there is enough time to get a full health history. At the end of the initial appointment, we will discuss your treatment plan. This will include what your follow-up appointments will look like.
What Should I Bring?
If you are on any medications and/or natural health supplements, please bring that information with you. For example, write them down in our Intake Form, take a photo of them, or bring them with you.
Are your services covered by OHIP?
Naturopathic Medicine is not covered by OHIP but most employee benefit plans cover Naturopathic Doctor appointments. Please check with your insurance provider to see what your benefits include. At my current clinics, direct billing can be done for certain companies.
Can Naturopathic Doctors order medical labs?
Yes, Naturopathic Doctors have access to medical labs to requisition blood work. This service is also NOT covered by OHIP. However, check with your insurance provider to see
Are your services tax-free?
Yes, all naturopathic consultation fees are HST-exempt. Taxes only apply to products and advanced testing.
Are your services tax-deductible expenses?
Yes, all consultation fees and testing prescribed by a naturopathic doctor qualify as tax-deductible expenses under CRA legislation.
Do you speak other languages?
